Keep Watching the Sky. Or Virgin. Or BT. Or, bwell you get the idea

21/4/2015

After the Air Racing weekend at Leicester, we received the following email:

Dear Mike and Mac

I would like to think you both for welcoming us to Leicester airport and looking after us so well on Saturday 11th April.

Andre and I had such a great day and the footage is looking superb.

I’ll be back in touch when we have an idea of broadcast date. It should be in mid-June. The series is called Defenders of the Sky: The Great British Airfield and will be broadcast on History Networks.

I hope that the rest of the season goes well and thank you again.

All the best,

Jenny

Su Farrar and Mount Kilimanjaro

Some of you will already know that I am climbing Kilimanjaro this month. It is a personal challenge that I am funding myself.

I have decided to set up a fundraising page as so many people have asked which charity am I doing the climb for.

I have chosen 2 charities that are close to me. The Lullaby Trust (in memory of my niece Sophie Darnes who died of cot death 9 years ago, aged 3 weeks) & Aerobility. The donations will be split 50/50.

The Lullaby Trust - a charity who supports families shattered by the death of a baby, promote expert advice on safer baby sleep, support research into why babies die suddenly & unexpectedly & campaign to prevent sudden infant death.

Aerobility - a charity that focuses on what disabled people can do, rather than what they cant. They offer trial flying lessons & Private Pilots Licence courses to all disabilities & ages: mobility, respiratory, sensory, learning, mental health, they aim for absolute inclusivity. The chance to share the magic of flight on equal terms.

The link to my fundraising page is below, but please don’t feel obliged.
